On the 21st May, we attended The Fortis Building and Timber Conference which incorporates their Supplier of the Year Awards and recognises the achievements by their supply chain. This years' event was held at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham with the awards being presented by TV's Hugh Dennis.
The awards evening which was the centre-point of a two-day conference held by Fortis, one of the UK largest networks of independent builders’ merchants, provided an Informative range of presentations, including one by former Director of the CBI, Lord Digby Jones.
TIMco was honoured to be announced as “Supplier of the Year” within the category “Tool, Fixings, Ironmongery and Workwear”. This award was presented to Simon Rance, Sales Director for TIMco, by actor and comedian Hugh Dennis.
Simon commented that "These achievements are only possible with the support shown by Fortis and its members for which we are very grateful. Furthermore, the dedication shown by every member of the TIMco team is vital in ensuring the success of this important relationship."
TIMco and Fortis have been working together for 3 1/2 years and whilst this partnership has been able to provide growth within this category for a number of members to date, there still remains a large opportunity to continue this success with others.
TIMco recognise this award as an incredible achievement and provides a platform to further strengthen our relationship with Fortis in the future.
